Do I need a Company to buy a property? |

The rule of thumb is that if you want to own land ie. a Villa you will need a company. In most apartment builds this is not necessary; please check with each development. We have highligted the ones that requrie a company being purchased prior to buying; further information on company purchasing can be found by clicking on the button shown "Company Required". |

Can I get a Mortgage to buy property? |

What about on costs? |

As with any property local taxes and maintenance charges will be levied. You will need to enquire with the developer what the costs of the annual maintenance charges are and who will be looking after the collection and administration of said. |

What is the currency and is the Euro acceptable? |
| |
The unit of currency in Bulgaria is the lev, divided into 100 stotinki. The Bulgarian National Bank is the bank of issue and handles government funds and state-owned enterprises. As the Lev is pegged to the Euro and so equally accepatble as tender in most cases. |
